WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Have you ever been watching television and all of a sudden, someone says, “that was a really funny commercial!” but you had no idea what they were talking about even though you were staring directly at the screen? Or, you were driving your car and you “zone out,” and cannot remember the last couple of miles that you had just drove? Or, you were day dreaming and to get your attention, someone actually had to tap you on the shoulder and say your name? These were times that you were in a state of hypnosis, although unintentional. It is a very natural process, and state of mind, in which people find themselves in several times a day. (Hypnosis is also referred to as a trance state, or altered state of consciousness.)
In hypnotherapy, progressive relaxation is used to quiet the conscious mind, which allows access to the subconscious mind to make changes in patterns in order for you to reach goals that you have set.
During past life, or spiritual regression, you are in a deeper state of trance to access the superconscious mind. This is where all your memories of past lives and your life as a spirit are stored.
WILL I BE UNDER SOMEONE ELSE’S CONTROL?
NO. When you are under hypnosis, you will not do anything that you do not want to do. You are fully awake and in control, although you are very relaxed. Hypnosis has nothing to do with surrendering your ability to rationalize. All hypnosis, is “self” hypnosis.
WILL I REMEMBER THINGS THAT I SAID?
Yes. You are not asleep during hypnosis, simply a deep state of relaxation and peacefulness. You could fall asleep, but that’s not our intention for your session. Even if you did, your subconscious mind would still respond to the goals that you set out to achieve.
CAN ANYONE BE HYPNOTIZED?
The first step in achieving your goals with hypnosis, is “wanting” to reach those goals. Anyone who “wants” to be hypnotized can be. That is, unless you are under the influence of drugs/alcohol, have an acute mental illness, or have an IQ below 50. Hypnosis has been very successful in assisting hundreds of thousands of people reach their goals.
WHAT DOES HYPNOSIS FEEL LIKE?
Every Person has their own unique experience. Some say that their hands feel heavy, and some say their hands feel light. There is no right or wrong way to feel under hypnosis. It’s all good, and it’s all YOU!
